What Is A Handmade Kitchen?
A handmade kitchen is a kitchen that is custom-made to fit the exact requirements and preferences of an individual or client. These custom kitchens are often crafted using high-quality materials and precise craftsmanship, resulting in a unique and customized product. The design of the kitchen is tailored to the specific room, floor plan, and style preferences of the customer with their vision and needs at the forefront, ensuring a completely personalized end result.
How Much Value Will A Handmade Kitchen Add to your Home?
According to the Reader’s Digest statistics, an average of 11% increase in house value is observed when a luxury kitchen is installed. However, the value added by a handmade kitchen to your property may vary depending on several factors, including the quality of the materials used, the extent of customization, and the design choices.
Is A Handmade Kitchen Worth It?
While we may be biased, we definitely think that a handmade kitchen is worth the investment. However, this ultimately depends on the priorities and budget of the individual. Despite being more costly than pre-made alternatives, bespoke kitchens offer several benefits such as freedom of design, high-grade materials, and precisely measured fittings for any space.
If creating a unique and personalized kitchen is a top priority and the budget allows, then investing in a luxury kitchen will prove to be worth every penny. However, if cost is a major factor and customization is not as important, then choosing a standard or pre-made kitchen may be a more suitable option. Ultimately, the decision comes down to your own preferences, priorities, and budget restrictions.
How Long Does It Take To Make A Bespoke Kitchen?
In general, building, painting, and fitting a bespoke kitchen from scratch may take around 8 weeks. However, the timeframe for creating a custom kitchen can vary based on factors such as the size and complexity of the project, material availability, and scheduling. With adequate planning and careful consideration of designs, 8 weeks should provide ample time to complete the project.
What Is The Most Expensive Part Of A New Kitchen?
The cabinets are usually the most expensive parts of a new kitchen. The use of high-quality materials like solid wood or custom finishes can significantly increase the cost of custom-made cabinets. Similarly, luxurious countertops made of materials like marble, granite, or quartz can also add to the overall cost.
In addition to cabinets and countertops, other factors that can affect the cost of a new kitchen include the cost of appliances, flooring, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. However, the cost of these components can vary greatly depending on the specific products and brands chosen.
How Long Does The Design Phase Take?
The Design Phase typically takes between 4 to 8 weeks to complete, although smaller projects with fewer decisions may require less time, while larger projects may take 6 to 10 weeks. The biggest factor for determining this is how quick the customer is at making decisions and how far through the decision/design process they are before approaching us.
Can You Work With Specific Budgets?
Our kitchens usually start from around 20k.
With that said, at Thomas Matthew we recognize that each individual has unique budget limitations, and we are dedicated to collaborating with you to produce a design that fulfils your requirements while still remaining within your budget.
All we ask is that you tell us your budget before commencing design work, as this will ultimately effect what we can and cant include within the design.
What If I Want To Make Changes During The Design Process?
At Thomas Matthew, we value open communication with our clients throughout the design process and actively seek feedback and suggestions. We strive to collaborate with you to ensure that your final design is precisely what you envisioned.
